A Warrior Waking

Often, people come to me looking for purpose.

That seemingly elusive reason for why they’re here; as if the whole of their being could be delivered in a nice neat package, preferably on the doorstep with a bow.

What I’ve learned is that purpose is a path.

It’s a way of moving and relating and choosing.

It’s a dialogue, a feeling, a devotional practice.

And there’s a risk to not living in your brilliance.

The risk of feeling unfulfilled and perpetually trapped.

The risk of staying lost & disconnected from your power.

The risk of never getting the fullness of what life has to offer.

The risk of living in a world that’s gray & drab.

But there’s a vibrance to life when you’re all in.

I’ve felt it.

The pulse of resonance coursing through the system.

Goosebumps of truth.

The wave that runs through the belly and the chest, even deep into the pelvis.

The squeal of delight when I come across a pomegranate hanging heavy on the vine.

The thought that pings with such clarity while I’m standing outside freezing on New Year’s Eve watching my five year old son cheese at the neighbor’s fireworks…this is enough.

This is purpose.

Those little moments of heaven add up and eventually you can’t go back to what was. You know too much.

The number one regret of people on their deathbed is that they wish they’d had the courage to live a life true to themselves. Of course this is easier said than done.

But what if?

What if you could know your full capacity?

What if you could relax into who you are completely?

What if you could wake each day with a mission on your heart?

What if you could move with so much meaning the mountains would part?

Life is a skill and if you’re still here, chances are there’s a warrior waking.

Someone who will fight when it gets hard.

Someone who will bet on themselves.

Someone who must know if they have what it takes or not.

In order to get to purpose, you have to open the door. You have to lay down who you are and say yes to something different.

You have to burn every doubt and trust.

With love & devotion to your most brilliant expression,

Jem
