Where there is hatred let me sow love
Where there is injury, pardon
Where there is doubt, faith
Where there is despair, hope
Where there is darkness, light
And where there is sadness, joy
not so much seek to be consoled as to console
to be understood as to understand
To be loved as to love
For it is in giving that we receive
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned
And it’s in dying that we are born to eternal life
Seek not to be consoled, but to console. Seek not to be understood but to understand. Ahhh…it’s always like a deep breath when I let that land.
What if we show up as what we want to experience, rather than hoping someone will create it for us? It’s the victim that looks outside, hoping someone else will solve the problem, bring the solution, do the fixing.
But if it’s you bringing the love, bringing the joy and understanding, the peace and the light – then what?
